What impedance are you showing the 500/1? It was tested to put out over 700w at full voltage into a 2 ohm load.

Only you can answer that. Is it loud enough for you? If the answer is yes, then that is the answer. If the answer is no, I would say that you need more subs instead of more power and/or possibly a different enclosure. More power isn't always the answer.
