Engine Whine

Alright, i know this is a common problem, ive done everything to fix it but still nothing works... what i have: pioneer 7500 dvd running 3 amps, 2x RF T3002 and 1- 1001bd, the only whine i get is from 1 RF t3002 which runs a set of MB Q Preimum 4" components and a set of PG 5.25" components.... my rca's are PG PlatinumSeries and run no where near the power or ground. i have regrounded everything in 3 doifferent spots, i have run a loop from bat-engine block- chasis on the neg bat terminal (this actually made it worse) and i have my tv and brain for tv grounded on the factory ground. everywire has also been shielded... any suggestions, it not the amps i checked those, so i beleive its the deck/tv... does anyone have a suggesion or am i correct to assume its an internal problem with the deck.........??????????

thanks for any feedback

try regrounding your radio to the battery... don't use factory ground... pioneers are notorious for this anyway... so don't be upset if you find out it really is your deck... but reground to metal chassis or run it straight 2 the battery and see if that works

i've been having the same problem. im using an excessive amperage 200 amp alternator, and a kenwood excelon x979 deck. with my old grounds i got noise whether the engine was running or not. i redid them all, grounding my amps with a 4 gauge wire each to the same spot in the back by my seat belts. i redid all the underhood wiring in 4 gauge, on top of the stock wiring. i did battery negative to the front of one of my heads on the engine, and to the chassis. stripped the paint off all grounding points. the engine is also grounded to the chassis at the back of the opposite head.

now there is no noise at all with the engine off, but i get a lot of alternator whine with it running. how do i go about tracking down the problem?

how do i do that, i think i have some female rca connectors around here, just plug those into the neg side, strip it and ground it to the chassis of the head unit? or is that what that third wire on some rca's is there for?

Wrap a wire around the outter barrel of the RCA connector and ground the other end of the wire.

But, it's more of a bandaid rather than an actual fix to the problem.

How is it a bandaid? if that does fix the whine, then the problem is with the headunit itself, and the oly proper fix is to replace the whole thing or have it serviced.
