while we're on the subject, what is that third wire attached to the outsides of some rcas? its small, like a remote wire, but you wouldnt want power right next to your rcas like that.

some RCA's do have the remote wire attached to them. It doesnt effect the quality because there is such a small amount of current (200 milliamps) compared to the large current of the main power wire (30+ amps).
