Engine shuts off when I come to a stop???

it really sounds like a vacum hose poped loose or the pcv valve is cloged it will always idle rough when its not breathing right also check to make sure airfilter is clean

Checked air filter, its fine. I can't find any obvious leaks or anything so is there some good way of looking/checking?

Also it can be noted that it runs fine for a solid 4-5 minutes if I haven't started it in an hour or two so its cooled down (idles smooth 900-1100 rpm instead of 300-600 and I can drive around a little bit) but in another couple minutes it starts stalling every 20-60 seconds of idling again.

probally shorted the ignition module with the amp...especially if it dipped below 10.5 volts

Wrong thread? I don't get any voltage drop currently with everything turned up all the way

clean the idle air control valve - mazda 626's have some weird problems. you need a t-25 tamper proof star bit, some carb cleaner, and some wrenches. google it if you need more deets.
