engine ? needing help

My mustang (95 5.0) when i try to accelerate it will get up to about 1500 rpms then it will want to die if you touch the gas. It idles fine its just when you try giving it gas. Its like the o2 sensors are ****ed up and letting to much air in or something? Do the car people on here think its the o2 sensors or could it be the tps sensor or something like that?

It's not the o2 sensors. It could be a bad tps causing a dead stop, but its unlikely it would be that dramatic. It's probably the fuel pump, or a clogged fuel filter.

Take a fuel pressure test and see where youre at, thats the best starting point.

id have to agree sounds like its in the fuel department. id definantly say not an o2 sensor

i allready have a fuel filter i just havent put it on yet. I cruised up to a stop light a couple weeks ago and it did the same thing. Except i couldnt even get it to idle really. Poured a gallon of gas in it and it crunk up and ran fine. Took it to the gas station and filled it up and hasnt done it anymore until now. Im Going to try to get the fuel filter on tonight.

I had the same prob wit my buick, your wire harness around your engine is shorting out at certain rpm's since it is old. get a new harness install it and check the motor mounts.get familiar
