Enclosure under a false floor..

So im going to be putting an idmax in my false floor, using the spare tire well as the enclosure. However i will be building mdf boxes that i can interchange them under the false floor.

Now my question is if i do a ported enclosure i do not want the port firing up, in my past experinces in my vehicle with ported boxes it does not sound right firing up vs to the rear of the vehicle.

So what can i expect firing the port to the rear of the vehicle underneath the false floor.

In ported enclosures most of the "sound" comes from the port. So you definetly don't want it underneath the false floor. The port must vent out freely, to the back will be fine.

Which way will the subwoofer face?

subwoofer will fire up port back, i was thinking it might have some affect on output just not sure of how much exactly
