Alrighty. Well im stupid. I made a box for my girlfriends 10" type-r. And guess what i doesnt fit in her BMW. Wow, i thought it would clear but i guess i should have busted out the measuring tape. ANYWAY live and learn. So i got to thinking that to save trunk room i sould make the box more shallow and shorter in heigth. To achieve 2.5 cubes, i have to make the box much wider. Where should i place the sub? Dead center? On the far end away from the port or right next to the port? Here is the box design.

Second question. As long as i have 2.5 internal volume the sound and output will be the same regardless of shape correct? Thanks guys.

theres different beliefs on where to place the sub, but alot of people believe that if you place the sub away from the port as much as possible it will feed more air in and get louder. makes sense too

it should sound the same regardless of shape
