Enclosure rebuild my friends

So I feel like the sw9122's are not doing the trick but I'd like to try a new enclosure before I switch up the subs.

34 hz, 4" aero ports.

I think maybe a slotted box where the port wraps all the way around the back with both subs using the same port. IDK what do you guys think for 2 12's in an explorer?

I'm having the same problem, my 18 isn't cutting it anymore, I'm thinking 2 15's on 2k a piece once i get the money.

I wouldn't do sub/port back like that. I'd do subs up, port to the side/back. In my experience (with an 01 explorer) sub up, port side was the loudest.

What are your goals?

I tune low because I am lows *****..

In my past experiences subs up port back was best in SUVs.

i had my 9122s in 4ft3 tuned to 29/30(ish) hz

i would change to subs up and port back as well.

I would do subs up, port back. Port in the middle, basically splitting the box in two. Move it closer to the hatch as well. Idk how close you had it. Mine is ~5" away from the bottom.

And i had it positioned in such a way that the port wasn't loading off a wall, it was just venting freely, it might be louder if i flipped it around to face the other way, but with a 50 pound sub, and a whole sheet of MDF, I'm not too keen on moving it unless I'm REALLY motivated.

Actually the hair tricks were not to bad, but the car was/is starting to fall apart a tad bit. Haha.

One thing I know is they don't like anything bigger then 1.8 cubic feet each....and the best tuning is 28

Are you willing to give up more space this time around? If not, I don't see a slot port being possible due to the much larger displacement than the aeros you're currently using.

I will give as much space as needed this time.

I want to do a t-line enclosure tuned to about 38 hz or what ever would be the best freq.

Im thinking subs up with slot ports on both sides. Box high enough to make it over the back seats.
