I purchased a Kicker CVX15

1000W RMS/ 2000W MAX

hooked up to a kicker zx750.1 amp

Its in a ported enclosure that has these specs (inches)

16.5 Depth

21 Inch width

15.5 Height

Port

1.5 Width

14.5 Height

What difference would it make if i got a bigger enclosure?

If this box was sealed, the volume would be 2.36

That ported enclosure is WAY to small for a 15. Also that port is small...

You need one twice that size or larger.

bigger boxes help your low end response and smooth out the response curve a bit, i.e. its less peakier

this is what kicker recommends and you are not even at the minimum recommended enclosure size for your sub, just imagine how good it would sound if it was built in the middle of what kicker recommends.

With the power you're running, you need something more along the lines of 4-4.5ft^3 with a 33-35hz tuning.
