I just got done building my ported enclosure for my mtx 9500 and I ran into a big problem. Come to find out the guy that cut my wood for me cut one of my pieces 1/8 of an inch off so now I have a 1/8 inch gap in between one of my seams. If I silicone the hell out of the gap would my box still be alright and operate okay or do I have to build another one. I sure dont wanna do that so what can I do.

i say tape the gap from the inside of the box to seal the box from the inside, then from the out side of the box, fill the gap or hole with resin, let dry, the tape will keep the resin from dripping inside the box and will keep it in place, remove the tape, then sand down any exes on the outside of the box to make it pretty.

Thanks alot guys I really appreciate it. I went and bought some wood filler and I was gonna fill it with that then silicon the F*** out of it. but I might try the tape thing also. Thanks for the help.

polyester fiberglassing resin.. also you could use this stuff called pourable sealer.. firestone makes it.. it's actually for roofing systems, but if it will seal a roof here in florida for 35+ years in the 100 degree heat down here with hurricanes every other month, it'll stop your box from leaking.. and at 28 bucks a gallon for the a+b additive.. you're in the same price as the resin..

theres some info about it, you can buy it on ebay.
