Enclosure pics- ok design?

Finishing pair of 1.76 cu. ft. enclosures for friends Mustang. They will face each other at each side of trunk. Will the contours effect the performance in these sealed boxes? He already purchased the subs so I built the boxes to desired volume and attempted to leave trunk storage space, but I'd like to mount the subs outside to retain the 1.76 total volume. I've never mounted subs back wards, aside from possible damage, are there any negative performance issues? I'm assuming I'd then have to reverse the polarity. Any comments appreciated before I close them up.

if the subs face each other there will be cancelation when the sound waves collied with each other.

try to wire 1 of the subs out of phase fromt he other one, it might help out

other then that teh box looks pretty good really.

Not so hot, huh? Tried to get him to swap his 2 for a better single. That would leave me with a box for some left-handed Mustang owner, or better yet a fort for my cat.

the contour of the enclosure should not affect the sound by much if not at all.

but it does happens some times. youll find out once you install it. i dont suggest you wire one of the subs out of phase at all. it will actualy cause canselation. if you install both subs with the magnets out. then reverse the polarity on both subs. so that they are in phase with the other speakers in the car.

you shouldnt loose too much internal enclosure volume by installing the subs with the basket/magnet in the enclosure. it shouldnt affect the sound enogh to be notisable.

Thanks guys, I'd like to try my Brahmas in them before I give them away but I'm sure they are to deep for the angled baffle.
