Wood and Fiberglass are common in building sub enclosures.

What other materials have you seen ppl use?

Weather they work or not. I saw a guy use

a 10 gallon bucket as a bazooka tube lol.

I worked alright. Whats they craziest or coolest you guys have seen?

When I was a kid I used a round plastic trash can and mounted a 10" speaker in the bottom of it. Turned it upside down so the speaker faced up. Was much better than the cardboard box I had before that...

I remember a guy on another board using concrete to build a box. Yes - concrete.

Talk about a non-flexing, non-resonating sub enclosure!

I'm also starting to see more cabon fiber enclosures. Most of them have the baffle face in CF, for some rigidity, but mostly for looks. But CF is coming up as another medium for creating enclosures, and I'd assume it'd be quite strong.

CF cant take flex though...youd really need a different internal base.

Heres a pic of my garbage can 15 before I had a sub box in my dorm.
