When doing some testing the other day I noticed when I played a 47hz tone I hit the same db as playing the peak tone of the enclosure (53hz). Im assuming the 47hz tone from the enclosure is the impendance drop of the enclosure. Would I gain a db or so by tuning the enclosure higher so that at 53hz the impendance is low and the peak of the tuning is higher say 60hz?? My cars resonant frequency is 53-54hz.

Could be the res. feq. of your car you also might try and tune lower and have your box roll off at around 46-48hz. I've have seen gains of 2.5 db from going lower but hey you never really know till you try
