Sealed is easy. The formula to figure volume is length x width x height / 1728. Keep in mind these are INTERNAL measurements. So if your using 3/4" material, you can just measure the outside of the box, and subtract 1 1/2".

that is what i need ,the outside measurements for the wood. Im new at this so if i sound like a newb it is because i am. any help would be appreciated.

Thanks man that would be great. I want to try and start making my own boxes. I am going to try sealed first because i know that would be the easiest for a first timer.

Just remember when you pick a tuning frequency as you go higher the box gains efficiency, but loses low end and tends to become peaky.
