yes it does it works perfectly fine. Only time it doesnt' always work in in SPL burp testing because sometimes the wave going both directions will keep you in phase where the meter is at the exact note you need.. Still cars that fire forward not sealed off are the exception not the rule 95% fo the time it works which is why you see most trunk setups as forward firing sealed off to prevent the waves from going backwards or firing back into the trunk to keep it all in phase.. Phase is a big deal in car in bass and midbass frequencies.this is another article that you read that doesn't matter in the real world. in a lab this theory works great, in a vehicle it doesn't apply.
so you telling me that a 100hz wave has the same speed that a 50hz wave or a 30hz wave? it only works in a burp setup b/c it's a single frequency that you can eliminate all variables. do you think that sound competitions for SPL play music? you gave an exception to the "rule" when it's the norm b/c there is no rule with music b/c music plays multiple different frequencies that all have different wavelengths.yes it does it works perfectly fine. Dont' know why people insist on saying "in a lab" do you really think anyone uses a "lab" for car audio, hell no. There are plenty of ignorant competitors who know nothing about sound who want to make it seem like car audio is some magic thing that defies all laws of phsyics. Newflash, it doesn't. There ARE reasons why most loud builds use similar setups although there is no replacement for real testing, that's actually what science is about in the first place, but they change one variable at a time to see WHY things happen. Speakers aren't magic and SPL is more a science than an art. Talk to most of the world record holders and many of them are pretty smart guys.
yes they do have the same speed, see you don't even understand BASIC sound theory and want to make claims on what's true and what's not? WHen you burp you can get lucky and at certain frequencies having reinforcement at a given frequency without sealing off. For wideband reponse like music it's almost always going to fail. That's why people seal off when they fire forwards and why they fire rear when they dont' seal off. You may see a gain firing forward not sealing off, but that's the exception and phase is the reason why.so you telling me that a 100hz wave has the same speed that a 50hz wave or a 30hz wave? it only works in a burp setup b/c it's a single frequency that you can eliminate all variables. do you think that sound competitions for SPL play music? you gave an exception to the "rule" when it's the norm b/c there is no rule with music b/c music plays multiple different frequencies that all have different wavelengths.
