I believe I "correctly" designed an enclosure to DD specs. Then again, it has been over 15 years since I built my own enclosure, so who knows...
Anyhwho, here are my dimensions: 12.5" high X 20" Wide X 11" Deep.
According to my calculations I should make the port roughly 1.4" wide and run it approximately 7.35 inches back. After that, I should right angle the port and go about another 10.65 inches. Oops, forgot to mention that the 7.35" piece will combine with the .75" thickness when I make that right angle and keep the port 1.4" away from the back wall.
Another option I am toying with a side port since DD tech support recommended that I port my subs out the side instead of going straight back. With a side port, it looks like I need to leave a 1.6" gap by 9.5"wide that will be 18" long.
Am I on the right track or has 15 years been too long for this old dog?
As I said on the soundpressure forum, I miss the good old days where all you had to do was build an enclosure to X cubic feet, then port it with 1 to 6" PVC pipe X inches long
