I have a 95 Chevy Corsica. I am hooking up my amps and need a suggestion on where to run my 1/0 gauge wire tru the car is there any where I can just pass it thru or will I have to drill a hole thru the floorboard. Any suggestions are welcome anyone who has done this please help. First time not being able to find a factory boot or easily excesible drill location.

try looking around the steering column or jack the car up and look for holes in the firewall closer to the floorboard. You shouldnt have to drill a new hole, although thats some pretty hefty wire, might be a little tricky sliding it through a factory location anyways.

In the event you can't find anything big enough to slide that big of wire thru and you don't want to drill the firewall I have a suggestion.

When I could not find a factory hole large enough for my power wire I ran it underneath the car along the frame, making sure to steer clear of exaust and brake lines or cables. I tucked it up next to the floorboard where you couldn't see it and zip tied about every 18"'. I did have to drill under the rear seat but acces was much better and with a gromet and sealant I have not had a single leak or ground problem. If you drill be sure to file edges as smooth as possible, use a gromet to protect your wire from cuts and wear, and seal the hole. Also make sure to drill at a spot where the wire will not have to bend, but can remain straight. That will prevent wear and cuts as well.

Just a thought, hope it helps. God bless you.

I knew of a guy that did the same thing ,never hada prob till one day his car CAUGHT FIRE!It seems the metal rubbed the insulation around his 1.0 gauge wire till it finally touched!and guess what (no fuse either)

pretty sure on those cars, corsicas/berettas, you have to drill a hole on the pass side up left corner of the engine bay. Just my two cents, i've been an installer since I was born //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif
