Elemental K vs Type-R

i have a profile cl800 amp which does 600X1 rms bridged. which sub should i get? either one elemental K 15" or one type-r 15"? i want to have balanced sq and spl. it will be in either an 98 explorer (4 door) or a 95 mustang gt.

my family has a 93 explorer (mine) and a 95 mustang GT. We love our fords.

I have heard and love Type-R's, but the guys on this forum could swear by elemental K's. I'd say one elemental K would be cooler because the name is less well-known.

I would hafta say that the K's are just a better overall sub, and I have had experience with both subs...

well stated, I have not heard them head to head but the ED K will have more SPL

ED ks would be greater SQ and SPL a great SQL sub..I am getting some in about a week or two...I wouldnt even compare these SUBS to the Alpine Type R's..They ED ks have greater SPl overall..So u get great SQ and more SPL for a lesser price than the Alpines..Now u tell me what u want to get??? I'll put it like this, if someone said U can buy this ED k for $150 or get a Alpine Type R for FREE..I would have already bought the ED K before u could finish that sentense..I dont know what I would do if he said I could have JL subs..I guess I would take then and make them Christmas Ornaments out of the JL subs..Now who said JL subs werent worth anything..They make great Christmas ornaments and Soup Bowls...Hey u could take the magnet off and use the cone as a FRISBY!! **** dis boy got ideas..LOL
