Elemental Designs or Orion

Alright I told my buddy sellin the 15" RE sub that it wouldnt fit behind my seat so he told me this. " I have a couple 12"s, I got two Elemental Designs 13kv.2 12" subs and one orion c12d2, The elemental design subs being the better ones of course. Im asking $80 each for the elemental designs and $45 for the orion" Is ED anygood? and if so is this a good deal.

they are pretty good subs and the price is right. make sure he gives you the original purchase invoice so the 3 year warranty will be extended to you.

well... ive heard that eD and ID are pretty much the same, so good quality stuff you got comin to ya!!

there's been a lot of problems with eD subs in the past.. i'm not too familiar with orion. Why not just go all diamond and get some d6's? OT you like the amp?

not really the same. the only place to get a kv2/ov2 is from eD. there isn't another sub like it with a different name.

however, the 9kv2 does share some things with the 8" ID .

My comps and amp is comin in thursday, im going to pick up the wiring kit i ordered tommorow then figure out where im going to place the amp and how to wire the amp to the battery....but yea im not really sure if i'll go with ED, 80/each is really good....but...iono, im sure I can afford better I was just wondering if they will beat...i listen to mostly rap music,well...I turn my rap music up LOUD, rock annoys me when its too loud..

err yea i guess you can say that, its just like eD and cdt with thier comps, eD and avionixx with thier amps. Looks exactly the same with diff names. Kinda like the Subs (ive heard) Seein that your an eD fan as well as i, im not baggin on them. I also would go with eD! I have had nothing but good things to say about their subs. I've had a few over the past two years and wouldnt buy anything else.

Elemental Designs gets nothing but praise from me. I have a 16Kv.2 and it's been awesome so far (except for the part where the cone came unglued from the voice coil..).

the Orions in question probably are OK at best, I LOVE Orion but the C series is their lowest line of new subs, probably around a notch between say a JL W0 and W3? just as a reference of other known brands
