well i figured since th type r's have more wats when amped to the rms , that the r's might sound better. But then i remembered that kicker is more geared to spl than alpine so thats y i was asking yall.....

Say i give the crvs 800 wats, and the type r's 1000 wats. Does that help?

From doing a lot of searching on the two subs in the past I would have to say that the opinions given were that the subs were pretty close. Basically, my opinion is that you couldn't do bad with either subs.

What's your budget? You're gonna want an amp that puts out the power you need at the ohms you're going to be sending it. So dual 4 ohm vs dual 2ohm will give different configs.

well i dont wanna spend over 500 on a amp, and i know about the ohm stuff i think: dual 4 ohm means 4ohm and 1ohm and dual 2 ohm means 2ohm .5ohm and 8ohm right? I was looking at this amp http://www.woofersetc.com/product.asp?3=3719 is it any good?

I wont decide on the ohm level until i get an amp that way im more flexible.

I'm sure you'd be happy with the Alpine but I would search ebay or some other places like the classifieds here first before spending that much on that amp. You could pick up a Rockford Fosgate 100bd 1001bd and a bunch of other brands a bit cheaper Read: used, refurbished.
