Elemental Designs Kv.2 vs Infinity 12.1

I have a rockford 8002 amp

» 125 watts RMS x 2 at 4 ohms (250 watts RMS x 2 at 2 ohms)

» 400 watts RMS x 2 at 1 ohm (1-ohm stable, 2-ohm stable in bridged mode)

» 500 watts RMS x 1 in bridged mode (at 4 ohms)

» 800 watts RMS x 1 in bridged mode (at 2 ohms) but im havin a hard time deciding which Subs i should buy. Im thinkin about 2 ED 13Kv.2's(250-500 Rms) or 2 Infinity Kappa Perfect 12.1's (75-350). Im thinkin that the Kv.2's are gonna be better as far as spl but i heard that the infinity's sq was great. Im not worried aboout burning out the infiniti's because im gonna turn the gain way down but im still not sure. Any thoughts

seriously, screw "looks". the kv2 isn't the best out there. Mine sounded good, but its really not something to right home about.

What are you suggesting then? I gotta 99 ranger sport regular cab so I cant put in some XXX's or a 13.5w7.....I need sumthin that will fit..........As long as its not a Type R

Haven't messed with the v2s, but the K series is a great entry level sub, good SQ and can get quite loud if you treat them right.

I, personally, would go with the Ks, but that's not taking anything away from the infinitys as a good entry level driver as well.

The 13kv2 will kill the Infinity Perfect in both SQ and SPL. They're also on backorder, but can be had for $100 ea if you're willing to wait 4 to 6 weeks.
