Hey could I get a some subs that compare and compete well with the New Elemental Designs SP15 sub???

I heard Brahmas, DDaudio9515, and Juggernauts compete with it well, please give me your opinions, thanks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

How can anyone here offer comparisons to a sub that has just entered preorder? Give ben some time to get some drivers out, right now anyone except ben would be flying blindly with nothing short of guesswork....

4.2 cubes tuned to 22hz is about as ideal as it gets in terms of a linear response for that speaker.

are you looking for a sq alignment, to get just get loud as hell, or do a good deal of both.

Ben

I am looking for extremely loud, hard hitting, deep, SPL bass, SQ is not my main factor but some SQ would be a plus too //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Right now I got a L5 15" square kicker with an MTX 6500D amp pushing it, I need something alot louder, and harder hitting, higher SPL. I was hoping the SP15 could fill in this gap //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Maybe mid - high 140s?

4 cubes, tuned to 41hz -the solution //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

should work very well, given it's not going to be a drop in, hit huge numbers, if spl is your game it's all about tweaking but that should work rather well.

Ben

so, would this even compete with my L5 15" ? Will this be loud as hell? extremely hard hitting????? Since you know about the SP15 is there any subs you can compare with these so I can get an idea what its like //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif or is it aboe em all //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

imo, the K series is pretty compareable to the L5, and a lot more versatile. If your just looking for a good comparison, the 15K costs 150+shipping for a single and 270+shipping for a pair.

The SP is more on par with you larger subs on the market, 9500, brahma, xxx, eclipse Ti, cmpx2. Althought I won't make direct comparisons. Everyone's listening preferences are different but it's in a class with the best imo.

Ben

how would the spl bass of a 15k compare to a brahma or XXX 15? because if it would be compareable then my wallet would much rather have that one. i am lookinf for just loud hard bass pretty much

I have a Juggy I'm selling, and I plan to get an SP15, so I'll be able to tell ya a little later...

According to the new review on the Audiomobile EVO-R 15, it is the LOUDEST subwoofer EVER tested for the publication (beating the output of the JL 12 W7 by 2 - 3 dB (in a mere 1.5' sealed box). Not too shabby for a $349 sub!

Just some advanced info for those considering a high-performance 15...
