Electrical

Hey guys I've been getting some mixed information about my electrical whether I can run what I have chosen for my audio system. Some people have said it is fine and some people have said you need to upgrade to better equipment or run more batteries. Let me give you some background information on what car it is and what equipment I'll be running. 2013 Honda Accord Coupe V6 HFP. The total RMS of this system is 3100.

Front Speakers: JL Audio C5 3-way 6.5"

Rear Speakers: JL Aduio C5 2-way 6.5"

Speaker Amp: JL Audio 600/4

Subs: 2 12" Sundown X (Might change my mind but there all in the 1000-1250RMS range)

Sub Amp: Sundown SAZ-2500D V.2 or RF T2500BDCP

Now here is the electrical I plan on putting in. Let me know if there is a problem or anything else I can do to make it better.

Alternator: Mechman S Series 240A

Front Battery: XS Power D4800 (I could run the D2400 or D2700 but will require modifying the factory pos and neg terminals)

Rear Battery XS Power XP3000 (Would it be better to run a XS Power D Series?)

Big 3 done in all 0 guage

Not sure if the '13 models work the same, I've gotten mixed answers. I just unplugged the ELD in my 08 civic and all was fine, I just got a '13 civic but haven't messed with it yet to see.

did unugging the eld have any negative effects? I've got all the parts for the relay but if unplugging it does the same thing with no negatives then I'll just unplug it.

Some people have told me to run 3 batteries total. A xs power d4800 under the hood and 2 xs power d3100 in the trunk. Do I really have to run a total of 3 batteries for a 3100rms system or can I just use 2

It's all relative. I tend to use one standard size battery per 1000w as a good rule of thumb. It's not that you absolutely could not run that equipment with just two batteries, but if the beefier your electrical the less strain you're going to put on everything in the system.

Think about it in terms of engine power, the larger the engine, the less work it has to do on a regular basis to pull the same load, so less strain on everything involved.

If you don't have the money for an extra battery now just plan the system out so it's easy to drop in in the future and take it easy with the volume knob until you do so.
