electrical question weak sub

its 1 sub, dual 4 ohm. wired down to 2 ohms like in this photo.

ill buy a multimeter tomorrow and check it out, otherwise i think its going back. if the hifonics amp didn't work i'd feel like i was doing something wrong but to go through 2 different cars with 2 amps and the rockford won't work without the gain at max i don't know, don't feel like anything is set up wrong.

hmm... well where did you buy it? Might need to exchange it.

If the amp is the prime series 1000, it only does about 800 watts, its there sh1tty entry level overrated stuff.

had the same thing happen with a cadence amp. with the sub level all the way up on the pioneer head, it also needed the amp gain maxed, bass up, and bass-boost up on the amp to actually get it to put out. for brand new under warranty, i would have it tested and send it back for another
