Electrical issue, HU power cuts out, need some help

I have an 06 Nissan Altima. HU is a Kenwood x890.

For the past couple months, my HU has been cutting out on me and reseting. Sometimes it is brief and other times it has been out for a whole day.

Well I took my HU in to get fixed, and the guy said he didn't find anything wrong with the HU and that is probably an electrical issue with my car.

Before I sent the HU out, I checked all my wire connections behind the deck and my fuses, nothing was wrong.

So my question is, what else should I look for now? Or am I the point where I need to take my car in to someone?

does that kenwood have a flip front to access the cd player? if its a flip front i bet the connectors to the face plate are worn or dirty. take some alchohol and a q tip and scrub the little connectors clean. if it doesnt have a flip front, then it might be the hu itsself, how old is the unit?

EDIT: if your music still works when the head unit loses power clean the connectors.

if it totally stops it may be the unit.

boom even if his face flips forward the music shouldnt cut out, atleast with my alpine its the 2 side holders that determine if the music plays, not the connection between the faceplate and deck.

The power cuts out and the HU resets as if it was disconnected from the power supply. I lose all my settings. I doubt it has anything to do with the face connectors.

So I tried swapping out my equipment, thinking it was my amp or something causing the problem. Different amp, same problem. I also tried putting back my factory OEM head unit, same thing. No power to it.

I even redid all the connections, no help. So I put my Kenwood back in after. This morning I went to get some breakfast and my HU worked for about 10 minutes and cut out again. So it pretty much cuts in and out at various times throughout the day.

This really sucks.

maybe re-wire your own 12v wire in there from the batt, add a relay and see if it cuts out.

its probably a wire thats about had it, and theres no sense in tracing the break in the line, too much time.

and id check the pins that plug into the hu's pin harness, maybe one is slightly bent, or loose.
