electrical information im lacking

i have never had a problem needing more power until now *bass is toooo addictive* so ive been researching before this post and wanted to tell you wehat i PLAN on getting and ask a few Qs

ill be pulling about 2k watts max. i decided ill hunt for a new alternator 150-200 amps and get a 2nd battery so i can use my main one for truck use and second for system only. i am going to try ebay for my alt, theres also a mr green alternators or soemthign im gonna look at. as for the battery im gonna get a good deep cycle battery.

it will be in the bed of my s10 so im not worried about prettiness or messing anythign up with acid leaks and whatnot. i have a few questiosn though

do i NEED somethign like optima or can i get any good CCA battery with good specs? im thinking around 800cca is plenty b/c it doesnt get cold here and i wont be pulling that much battery power anyways. i really have no idea what that stat means

also, what are amp hours and reserve capacity? and any other specs i need to pay attention to when buying a bat, thanks

i think them optimas are dry cell or something, so no fear of acid leaks or corrosion

I know loyd (bigbassman) just uses the walmart batteries with a lifetime warranty and swears by them. They will save you a lot of money over a red or yellow top.

Just never put a regular car battery on the inside of a car or truck, because a little spark can turn into a whole new kinda boom you DON'T want not to mention the poision gasses. If the bed is connected to the cabin or sealed you really want to run Optimas, WestCo, something nice and sealed.
