ok so i finally got my system in my car. i was dissapointed to find out i cannot run my amp anywhere near full boar due to a wimpy electrical system. what is the best way to get my electrical good enough to power my amp no problem. keep in mind money is an issue. the less the better. now here is the story. the amp is a kicker zx1500.1 and it is hardly powering a audioque hdc312 in a 06 honda civic. now here is the bade i have 4 guage power and ground wire. i have the stock boattery. i have stock alt. no big 3

so what are my options and whats the cheapest and most output.

thanks

i to have a 06 civic (ex model) i had problems running my kicker kx1200.1 ( similar to your amp), with the big 3 and stock bat. i had major voltage drops (at amp it was close to 10 volts), and when i would turn it up my subs would kind of skip basslines (do to not enough power). i upgraded my stock batt (which is a piece of shit by the way) with a yellow top+ Big3. my system would no longer skip basslines, and my dimming got less. So if you plan on running your system on full tilt often, an upgraded batt is needed for sure (look into Powermaster batteries). if you plan on running a AGM batt in the back make sure you get a AGM for the front, other wise a regular wet celled batt (12.4v) will drain down both the AGM (12.9) and the starter batt (wet celled batt).

i actually just upgraded my alt to a 250 amp, because im going to be running 2 kx1200.1's strapped (close to 3000watts), and a 200x2 amp for my comps. so if you ever go that route let me know and i'll tell you who to contact for real high quality alternators. i was the first 06 civic alt that matt at mechman made : ) ..............

also join 8thcivic.com alot of useful info on that site for us 8th gen civics.

ya im on 8th civic and not alot of bassheads there.

so ill try running 0 guage and try to get a battery

undergroundbum are there certain batteries that we can get for our civics cuz the compartment is really small.

links?
