MT 15 > L7 15 for SPL and they cost about the same...Id go with 2 MT 18's, Proper Wall, and as much power as you possibly could get.

Run the heaviest guage wire you can and have an eleictrical system to back up the current draw. 5kw is nothing so sneaz at.

thats going to make a huge xplosion when you give them more wattage. how about scrap the sonys and get a 15 L7 and nice kx1200.1 in a ported box tuned to 32hz. about 5cubic feet.

From an autorized dealer an 06 L7 15 cost about 450-500 MT 15 can be had for mid 500's...roughtly the same. Local Kicker Dealer here sells the 06 l7's for 650 a pop... MT is cheaper...

Because this is a competition install i also have to ask what class and oranization are you plannon on running in. Some classes in some organizatios do not allow walls or vehicle modifications.

Man those new L7's can be found for hundreds less than what youre talking about...even locally here...and retail on an MT 15" is $650...

He's bought them, all I can say is work with it. Power them excessively (as people have said), put them in a high tuned box with lots of cubes to push around. Personally, I think it's great to see someone doing something different for a change.

Onlinecarstereos.com has them for 350, not a manufacture warranty.
