ED subs VS Alpine? which to get?

So I thought i had it all figured out... I was planning on getting two 12" Alpine 1242D's and hook em up to a Elemental Designs NINe.1 amp. Now I'm starting to look into ED subs, I've read reviews and they seem legit and good for the money. What do you guys think? Should I just stick with the alpines or would ED subs be better? what ed subs would be comparable to the alpine 1242d's?

Deja Wiz- i dont really care too much, i mean i want it loud but i want it to sound good at the same time... i mainly listen to rap though, not much electric stuff or rock so spl would probably be more up my alley.

Cpierce- as little as possible!! no more than 150 per sub
