Can a 15 L7 handle the power?

I got an orion 2500D and 2 Kicker 4ohm L7's (one blown the //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif ) but i was just wonderin can one handle the 2500watts? or do i gotta keep it wired to 1000watts?

the 12 or the 15? the 15 will handle it just keep your gains down.

yup it'll take it. the 06 models can take stupid amounts of power. just make a big box for it and watch the gains and let that b!tch yang.

^^^ got me a box already //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif but theres a problem, one is blown so i took it out and i know have a pointless box for 2 15"s, is there anyway i can cover up the hole to close off the box a bit (its ported) ...i tried place'n a piece of MDF over it, and it rattled like crazy....anything else?....its just temporary untill i get my new 15"

how big is the box? is it apre fab box? your gonna need at least 4.5 cubes net for the 15 to take that amount of power.

Don't give the 15" L7 more then 1400 watts. 4.5 - 5 cubes net tuned to 32 Hz would do well for ya.

For a driver to handle power, you would put it in smaller box, not larger, as you are reccomending...

You can only wire that subwoofer to 2 ohms, so you won't get 2500w to it regardless. It will be fine at 2 ohms, in whatever box you have. I would not reccomend using the same box you had them box in, though; because that would be twice the required air space for a single L7. It will work, but won't be optimal.

Yes...power handling decreases when you increase the box size.

A Gain has nothing to do with the power at peak.

B If you are tying t use teh same box and the driver shared the volume taking one out and capping the hole will really hurt your tuning which may cause you driver to fail.

Other then that you shouldn't have a problem runing that amp and one sub runing the coils in parallel.
