Could be the box. Too small of a box = too high of a Qtc = small bandwidth, peaky response.

my box is 1 cu ft per chamber for the tens is that too small??

but would you say it's better than a bx1500d.........worth the extra money i mean. i'm thinking about just getting a new amp and see how much louder my solos get. if i'm still not happy i'll just go ahead with something higher end

TommyK something or other on here did a swap - nine.1 for the bx1500d. The scores were negligibly different.. a few tenths. In his car thats nothing because so much changed and so little voltage.

I'd go hifonics. He went nine.1 because it DOES put out the same power put its rated for less - means a lower MECA class.

well ok if my box is fine and i do put the seats down sometimes in which case the spl is plenty and there is no sq whatsoever. if si gets back on their feet by the end of the year i wouldnt mind having two magnums...that should beat the hell out of my solos yea? even sealed

would you go hifonics just cuz it's been out longer and it's cheaper? the nine.1 sounds like it'd be nice but if it isn't worth the extra money than why bother right? whatabout a bx1800d? if those aren't overrated i'd for sure pick one up

I'd like to see you bench it to see if that claim of 1500 RMS is true... It'd be nice to get a second opinion...

Oh and some better **** would kick *** too, I wasn't satisfied with the internal pic they posted on their site.

ok, so not exactly 1ohm @ 13.8volts.....but over 1000watts @ 10.1volts and 1.2 ohms is still impressive

It is also nice to know that the amp has no problem putting out power at LOW voltage.
