eD 12" subs on half price

500w is a little much. I have one I use for home theater(1.5@25hz) off a 150w plate amp, sounds awesome.

Well the cons outweigh the pros for me so far.cons

likes bigger boxes, I dont want to go any bigger than 1.5 cubes.

heard from another member that his sounded muffled and wasnt musically dynamic.

seems I would need 2 of them to get decent output

Ima try my pair ported in 3cf. see what they sound like off about 400watts...

If not ill go sealed with 3cf.

Point is i only have about 3cf. to give up, lol...

I think this sub will do much better off the 300watt plate amp that is in the mail than the 8's will. A single 12 will do much better than the pair of 8's I have and it will take the power better and fit a smaller ported box. Just sort of makes sense I guess.

Having heard them in both sealed and vented application.

I liked the sound of the 2.7ft @ 28hz better than the 1.6ft^3 sealed.

i just ordered 4 of em, hopefully they arent already sold out. shoot, $54+shipping for 4 12's that can handle 200rms? why not.....

Ill probably use 2 for an HT setup, and the other two would be a nice x-mas gift for my sister. She gets her license in a few weeks, and they would be a nice touch to her car lol.
