Eclipse Problem! please help quick

Installing a avn-5435

when i powered it up (in garage with power source) everything came on and it would open ect... but its stuck on a screen that says CHECK map disc. i tried inserting a regular cd, but nothing. its stuck.

do i need that original disc or something to unlock it?

any suggestions would be greatly appriciated!

You need the original disk for it to function. They are expensive (around $350.00). I bought a used Eclipse off ebay last year and ran in to the same problem. I sold it and bought a new model from an authorized eclipse shop in my area.
