I think I love UPS
hello all just got a pair of treo ssi's rated at 750w rms but everyone i have talked to says to run at least 2000w rms to both. my eclipse gst only puts out 90 amps. i do not know of any 2000w amps that only draw 90 amps. i am trying to figure out what i can do to prevent having to buy a high-output alternator that are around $600 for a 150A alternator? Should I just get a smaller amp or sell the treo's all together? Thanks Eric

Upgrade wires to 1/0. Get an efficent amp(class d). You can have your stock alt rewound to put out more amps(local shop). I don't see you getting more than 1000 watts though. Seach for Iraggi. His alts are pretty reasonable. It will be under 600 probably about half that. What year of a gs-t?

Its a 98 Gst. I was thinking a crossfire vr2000d but I may have to rethink now. Would dual batteries help for more power or would the alternator not be able to handle the extra load of another battery. Thanks Again Eric

If price is the issue stoping you from buying an HO alt you can get a quote from dominick iraggi or excessive amperage it should be 1/2 the cost. Sometimes doing the big 3 and/or just adding a batt temperaly helps it.
