How do you feel about the quality? Every dealer of Eclipse I've spoken with in the last year has really complained about the quality of the Eclipse decks.. I had the Eclipse AVN5495 awhile back it was the worse unit I've every owned.. The SQ was really horrible and it had NO useful sound shaping features. The graphic EQ was a joke. I've been eyeballing the new AVN6600 with parametric and crossover settings..
I like the double din look.... I thought about the AVN7000, but by the time you add everything needed you're looking at $3000. I think the AVN6600 might be more up my alley this go around.. All my tuning will be done by the the Zapco DSP6-SL with my laptop when it arrives in a week.Ive had absolutely no problems, with the exception of several years back and skipping (hence the name Eskips).
The 5495 is more for practicality, not for tuning a system. If you wanted that, look into the AVN7000 or 5000 with the DCU105 add-on.
Depends where ya buy it from. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gifI like the double din look.... You are the man!!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif If I'm planning on having the DSP6 do all my tuning, then having a headunit with tuning features I won't use, won't give me any benefit. I was even thinking about the CD7000 but then again features I won't use.
It's hard to find a great dealer that cares about the customer as much as the sale!! What's nice about Jason is that he only does at as a hobby so making the sale isn't that big of a deal.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gifNot a problem and I completey understand. From a retailer point of view I certainly can appreciate your loyalty to him.
