Eclipse cd7000 is here...

i saw one today at the dealer in town. nice piece, they look better in person. i am tempted, but i am going to wait for the avn 6600 to come out. or i might just get the 5435 because of the 3 year warrenty.

Yessir it is. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
You do however still have to press it to close,

If you have to close it by pressing it wouldn't that mean its NOT motorized??? I'm not sure I understand.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif

I think he means you have to press the open/eject button to return the faceplate after inserting a CD, as opposed to Alpine models where the unit automatically returns to the closed position once the CD is inserted.

Gotta admit, shes **** sexy...

The new Eclipse is so hot he has to have the AC on in the car at all times....even in the winter //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

Is that an Arc DXE combo underneath it?

I

Pioneer does as well, but I can't believe the Eclipse decks don't. Seems sort of lame in my opinion. Oh well, Eclipse should make up for it in SQ like they usually do.

It would make no sense if it did- being behind the face not only is a cd slot but one one slot for the magicgate memory card. Who wants their fingers caught while trying to remove/insert the memory card;)

I can't tell you how many times my 8053 has nearly crunched a CD on me because it does automatically shut....little devil....it always does in just the amount of time for me to unload on CD, put it away, and then get the next one out to load it in! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif

Having to manualy close the face is a good thing....however they should have put the eject button on the bottom not on the top.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

LOL -- this story makes me laugh because i don't know how many times my CD8051 did the same thing. I swear they made the IR sensor notice when a hand gets close holding a CD to put in, and closes the deck just to spite you. It almost got my fingers once...lol
