eclipse is the way to go.

I usually would favor the eclipse too since I own one(cd7k though). but i would advise against the 7200

- lcd too small

- no independent eq

- lcd is not sunlight readable

- slugish response

- cant tune with remote

- connected dpad makes mistakes easier

I do love the Pioneer 800 though. Lets you do everything except the bluetooth that the eclipse has and no radio preset dedicated buttons.

i just didnt like the interface of the 87 too confusing for me.

7000 and 7100 do not have the lcd issues.

yea. i bought mine cause I got a great deal on it and I listen to the radio quite often so i like dedicated presets.

I am satisfied with my sound, but i would like to have the independent eq though to do some more tweeking.

im actually reading up on it right now on the DIYMA forum. It has gotten my attention.

no idea about the fuse. however to avoid that, dont plug your cables in hot

Never do anyway, I didn't blow my current Pioneer. I did once accidentally knock them out doing something non audio related and it scared the shit out of me as the car was on and I was worried about it blowing.

Ok, I just had another thought, would it be better to keep my current HU and get a processor like the RF 3sixty instead?
