Eclipse 8445 install problem

hi i'm new to this site. i just installed the eclipse 8445 HU in my 2000 honda civc. After i connected all the neccessary wires and started the car the HU wouldn't power up. I checked the wires and everything was where it should be. I thought there was a problem with the HU. So i went back to the store and exchanged it. And when i got the new one i had the same problem... any suggestions on what it could be? thanks for your help!

try wiring it DIRECTLY to your battery. your harness could be bad.

installed incorrectly. Most likely a harness error.

Didn't the store power it up to see if it worked when you brought it back? does the stock harness have a ground wire? sometimes you have to run that wire yourself.

This year I had one harness that was making intermittent contact on a Eclipse cd player. We replaced the harness to solve the issue. The first thing that you need to do is re-install the factory radio, does it still work? Next meter the power and ignition lines to verify that you still have power on both. Ensure that you still have a good ground after that. This sounds 100% installation error.
