Hi guys, I just got a used 15" eclipse subwoofer off ebay. I have looked all over the interwebs trying to find specs on it. I had one about 10 years ago that I blew. I don't remember the watts. I can only find info on the Titanium and i think i have the aluminum. Anyone able to help find the specs on this sub? There is also no marking on the sub anywhere except to say "eclipse"

Does it look like this? If so, there will be a sticker on the side of the magnet stack, or on the back side of the cone (look down the pole vent). Should be the SW8152DVC or 88150DVC.

yes looks just like that. I will have to check when i get home from work. Do you know the specs on it?

Easy to tell. Pick up your sub to eye level and drop it on one of your foot. If you loose your big toe it's a SW9152. If they need to amputate the whole foot than it's a SW9152 Pro.

What would you think is the best box size to use for the 10" Aluminum 88100 DVC? Currently I have the Aluminum in a sealed box at 1.25 or 1.5 cu ft, can't remember the exact dimensions. I listen to various music from old school rap, R&B, rock and some country. Also, would it hurt my sub if I was to install a stronger amp rated at 900 watts rms compared to the sub's rated 500 watt rms?

Yeah, the TC9 platform will readily accept around 1200w-1500w with proper care. If you like sealed, I would stay right where you're at with 1.25 or so. Maybe even go down to .8-1.0 cu.ft with the additional power.

Thanks for that info. Much appreciated. Miss the Eclipse line. Wish I was able to find another 10” aluminum dvc but it’s rare to find one for a decent price

looks like the pdf you sent says 500 rms 1000 max. can you confirm. I have a kicker 1200 rms amp will i kill the sub with that much power?

You'll be fine with that. Those drivers do have somewhat soft suspensions so be careful and stay on the small side with enclosures, but that extra power is good for dynamic control.

In order to answer your question, I would need to know what model (e.g. SW4200, SW7524DVC). Also, are you looking to make a ported box or sealed?
