Earthquake phd2 aka shredder

Going to have good electrical . Have come across guys doing this . But seems for copition. And with upgrades . Gust for purbs it seems like . But on the other hand herd they can run all day at 1ohms with out modifications. I herd but In a bigger fuse . Then good to go . So much different info is out there

Those amps will handle 1 ohm and even .5 ohm loads for a burp. but handling it for a few seconds and handling it continuously are not the same thing. Like I said, I wouldn't do it.

Can anybody explain this theory that more batteries makes below-rated impedance loads somehow safer?
This is true with most amps. If you run them hard they'll demand the juice. If you don't have the juice, it stresses them out and forces them into a protection mode. Sometimes it'll protect, sometimes it's too much and it'll just blow them.

Those old school EQ amps are known for doing competition burps at like a half ohm.......but if you're doing daily pounding you want to stay within rated specs range.
