Generally speaking you get very diminishing returns when you start driving speakers way beyond their limits. If you need to run 1KW, IMO get Z series, you couldn't kill them with 1KW if you tried.

BTW, nice showing out of the entry level piece!

Hopefully you aren't disappointed that this woofer is made in China. Of course... there is a BIG difference between paying for the best quality you can get from China and going there to save every penny possible. You can guess which route we went since our cheapest woofer will hold up to something like this.
