Been here all weekend with customers and whatnot anyway... so decided to drop one in the Jeep real quick. The Jeep hasn't had much love lately and I was using it to haul scrap metal for a while (hence the wooden truck bed) but I decided to break it back out.

One 4500D @ 1 ohm with one extra SPV-70 for battery. My box has a pretty high rise so probably seeing 3-4 ohms or so actual on the amp so not a ridiculous amount of juice yet.

Sub still has a good bit of usable throw remaining. So I guess the next phase is to actually put in a more usable battery setup for multiple amps and use two amps at 0.5 ohm to get the sub to full stroke.

Not sure yet if that will get done today as I've been at the shop way too much recently, haha.

I think 150+ is do-able with it.

Okay couldn't resist so I dropped two 2500s in and maxed it out :

That was all she had -- any more and it would leave the gap. So I guess I didn't get my 150 but I'm not too sad over it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

wow it handled like quadruple its rms rating?
Yah, probably in the 1600-2000 watt range if I had to guess to max it out... maybe more but I haven't clamped it yet.

The SA-15 held 7,300 watt burps in my box and did a 153.5

It makes me laugh that you guys build these great subs and rate them at whatever number (which it performs very well at), then just put like, 5k on them for fun and they still hold up. It says a lot about build quality.

It's not broken yet -- just made funny noises when I turned it up farther due to the coil leaving the gap.

I haven't done a video yet -- but maybe next week I'll do a quick one.

Haha, well it's out of throw already //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

It would likely do better with less port as this box was made for Nightshade / Z level woofers.
