Dynamat into 99 pathfinder.... plastic on doors??

Hey guys,

I am installing dynamat on my 99 pathfinder (QX4, same thing) but behind the door panels, is a wall of plastic sheet which, without puncturing it, doesn't allow access to the inner door sheet or guts of the door....

Where should I dynamat in this thing??

Its a 99 Pathfinder with components up front, coaxials in rear, 10 sub, all amped.

take pics. is it just plastic with some caulk holding it on the edge. if so just tear it off and put your dynamat on(by the way, get something other than dynamat cuz that ish is expensive.) look into edead(http://www.edesignaudio.com) anyhow take pics

take that small plastic pos plastic off its stock from the factory nothing really there for anyways haha.

I already bought the dynamat, I got 8 square feet of dynamat extreme off ebay for $50 shipped

Yes it is held on the edges with some sort of adhesive....

Not to ruin your "high" about getting the stuff..but I've found 15sq feet for both doors (my original plan) wasn't nearly enough. I've used about 15sq feet on each door so far and that about covers it for a good solid deadening job.

Second Skin products are very good IMO..

pic of one door when I got my 15sq feet (~7 for each door) (1 layer inside and not completely covered)

then this is with about 15sq feet each door with 2-3 layers everywhere (1-2 layers inside not 100% covered, but close)

yeah you got ripped a new one for 50 shipped. ouch! Anyhow like I said when you notice you need more deadener(and you will need much more) get what sunfire01 said or edead from where I posted earlier

8 sq. ft. is nothing. That's not enough to do a thorough job on a single door. I'd just use all of it on the metal behind your door speakers, in multiple layers.
