DVD Me-2 help

I recently got a Blaupunkt DVD ME-2 DVD player With a pioneer head unit for my 98 cherokee, Everything works fine execpt for CDs. They sound really scratchy and distorted, But DVDs Sound awsome and the radio is normal. Is there a setting or somthing im missing to get CDs to sound good?
