What is the safest way to hook this sub up to my amp?.,

The Amp

Bridged in 3 channel mode it runs 70watts rms @ 4ohms, each channel is 25watts rms @4ohms.The rated power @ 2ohm is 35watts rms x 4. I do not know what the rated rms power is with a bridged 2ohm.

The Sub ASV Dual voice coil

is 40watts rms per voice coil 4ohm. I dont want to over power the sub or ruin the amp.

The amp is a Kenwood KAC-646X 4 Channel

The Sub is a

8" Subwoofer RSW80

• 400 Watts Instantaneous Peak Power

• Spun Aluminum Speaker Cone

• Quick Connect Terminals

• 30 Oz. AINiCo Magnet

• 4 Ohm Impedence

• 1.5" ASV Dual Voice Coil

• Design Patent Pending

What i meant by bridged in 3 channel is running my 6.5's on the front channels and bridging the remaing channels for the sub.?.

ok ok my fault. you would only give the sub like 70 RMS bridging it. and it would wire fine down to 2 ohms for your 70 rms //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif.

So what your saying is to get the most out of this cheap sub, I should run it @ 2ohms @ 70rms?

Edit: Never mind, that is what u are saying....this speaker stuff is alot easier then i made it out to be... Gotta start somewhere //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wacky.gif.cf4a48f9e6dfe9504ffd2c946fd2f340.gif
