DVC or SVC subs

okay i have a question, do you perfer DVC or SVC subs. The reason I am asking is because of wiring, for example:

I have an phoniex gold octane R. 800x1 @ 2ohm, 400x1 @ 4ohm

okay looked at the kicker comp 03CVR124 and CVR122:

2-ohm DVC models let you run at 1 or 4 ohms, while 4-ohm DVC models allow 2-ohm or 8-ohm operation.

know if I get a DVC 4 ohm sub does that mean my amp is only push 400 watts and not nowhere near 800 RMS?

Should I look for a sub that is at 2ohm so I can reach or get near my 800 RMS?

I'm alittle confused on this.

The final wired impedance is all that matters in how much the amp will put out. If you have a 4 ohm DVC and wire it to 2 ohms, your amp will "see" 2 ohms and put out whatever power it puts out at 2 ohms.

As far as preference, I prefer whatever will get me the impedance I need to match the number of woofers I want to the load my amp is capable of driving. If I want 1 sub and need a 2 ohm final load, then it doesn't matter to me if the sub is a DVC 4, a DVC 1, a SVC 2 or a QVC 2. If they made a triple coil 6 it would work.

okay, understand, but how do you wire a 2 4ohn subs to make the amp see a 2ohm load? or

2 2ohm subs to make the amp see a 2 ohm load,

I just to be able to wire the subs so that my amp will see 2 ohms
