I need a dustcap for a DD1508. Doesnt have to be a DD cap...doesnt have to be fancy or anything. Pretty much anything will work. If you're after CF you're going to pay. Really it all comes down to looks since I suspect an extra gram of MMS won't make any difference in performance....really as long as it keeps dust out of the gap. Is there glue on the cone from the last dustcap? What diameter is the glue? If no glue, stick a measuring tape to the cone and just decide what diameter would look good. You should be looking at 3$ for a simple dustcap up to 25$ or so for a full dome CF.

DD uses a LOT of glue, so there is a ring of glue still there. Need a dustcap about 4.5"-almost 5". Just looking for a dustcap, doesnt need to be too fancy!

Got an Orion HCCA dustcap I'll never use 6.5" (should hide your glue mess). You can have it for the cost of a bubble mailer and postage.

Already in the process. the cap he was going to send I found out was too small. So trying to figure out something else now.

And yeah, Im not payin like $30 bucks for a cf dustcap

I just bought an 8" CF cap from DD for less then $50 shipped.

Just give them a call on Monday and ask. IIRC, I payed less then $50shipped for the platinum CF cap on my 1508.
