So I always love when a kid like today brags to me that his sterio is soooo loud. And when I ask what he has he says he is running 1300 watts to a pair of Sony explodes. Now I know my 18 with 300 watts will stomp him so I just laugh and wait for him to ask me what I have. And it's always the same... They claim there's is louder.

I have heard loud Sony Explode setups before, just a little:fyi:

with xplodes! I heard a pair of the black 15"s on an older black 1600w digital sony amp and it slammed pretty good.

Pretty much, I had a 12" Hollywood Sound labs and a 12" JBL in a bandpass box. It was pretty loud for what it was, but looking back now it is like

I think if you seriously put 300 rms on an 18 you should go kill yourself.

My first set-up was 2 Memphis PR 10's and i thought i was the loudest f_cker on earth....looking back it was decent
