dumb question

i design boxes .......
i know this is a dumb question...but i just wanna make sure my way of thinking is right. my g/f has a d2 sub, and an amp that is only 2 ohm stable bridged, or 1ohm stereo. i'm wanting the most power out of this amp i can get. would i get more power running it 1ohm stereo off one channel, or run each vc 2ohm on it own channel?

if your gonna post and say "you can't do that", please don't post, cause i don't wanna hear it.

Seriously though.....I would run one coil per channel.

Why ? Well, typically as impedance decreases, so does efficiency. So it's likely that the amplifier will be a little more efficient running a 2ohm load per channel as opposed to a single 1ohm load.

i was thinking that.

and to bill, i believe that it is equal...but on the other hand, unless its a good amp, power doesn't always double when you 1/2 the ohm load.
