Kicker AMP is making a ticking noise when adjusting gains.

Hi there, I have a zx750.1 Kicker amp. I have it wired to a Kicker 15" L7 subwoofer.

I notice if I try to adjust the gain on my amplifier it makes a small ticking noise from inside. Kind of like a spark noise, but its small and comes from inside of the amp. It's like a crackling.

This does not happen when I have the subsonic filter turned on, however if I turn it off and try to turn up gain it does this..

I am not sure why I want to know if I have to get this replaced, or if it will harm anything or whatever.

Now my LED onthe amp is dimming and going on and off... It's still green, but just dimming and switching off/on.
